If you have not been able to find the school name you require by using the Current School Selector you can use this advanced search facility to search through schools listed on the National Database of schools.
• If the Local Authority is in England, Wales or Northern Ireland the selection will include all relevant English schools in 1 of the 3 categories Open, Open, proposed to close and Proposed to open, plus all Welsh schools, regardless of the open status.
• If the Local Authority is in Scotland, the selection will include all relevant Scottish schools, regardless of the open status.
Early Years settings are not included.
Enter all or part (this does not have to be the beginning but must be at least one character) of the name of the school your child attends and select the Search button.
In order to narrow down the list, enter the name of the school’s Local Authority and/or the gender of children accepted by the school.
If you wish, you can enter a Local Authority without entering a school name, however at least one of these two fields must contain an entry for the search to operate.
Select the Local Authority button to display a list of all Local Authorities. Select the button next to the name you require to enter it into the Current School - Extended Search.
In the same way, if you select the Intake Gender button a list of options Co-Ed (i.e. both boys and girls attend the school), Female and Male is displayed. Select the button next to the correct option.
Select the Search button to display an alphabetical list of schools with their addresses and intake gender that fulfil the search criteria you have selected. Select the Select button for the correct name to enter it.
If the extended search does not find the school name you require, then type its name and location into the box at the bottom of the page and select Save.
